We start with the 3rd edition of the most important design event in the Balearic Islands!

This year it will take place on May 29th at the Ramis factory in Inca and the theme we have chosen is “Saving the sea”. This has been made known by Raquel Arañón, Founder, Director and Coordinator of #MallorcaDesignDay, in the exclusive Katagi restaurant of the Hotel Llaut in Platja de Palma.

“The fashion sector is the second most polluting sector in the world. That is why we are obliged to do our bit and make all designers and companies in the textile industry aware of the importance of recycling, sustainability and responsible consumption”, said Arañón.

In addition to the prizes we have already offered in previous editions, this year we have wanted to add the National Interior Design Prize (2,000 euros). Participants who wish to enter the fashion category can submit their projects from 10 January to 16 March, those interested in the photography category from 1 April to 8 May, and the deadline for the interior design category is from 10 January to 10 May. The international and national winners and the finalists in fashion will be announced in March, as well as those in photography and interior design. Finally, on May 29th there will be a parade with the proposals of the winning designers and the winner for the Balearic category will be announced.
