We present the winners of this edition of #mallorcadesignday in the International, National and Curvy categories. We are looking forward to seeing your collections on the catwalk next May 24th at Puerto Portals!

Nicolás Sánchez, 20-year-old Argentinian designer, is the winner in the International category with his collection Tokio.

His interests are design in general and he is currently studying Industrial Design in Mar del Plata, with a specialization in clothing.

He makes custom designs, as well as teaching courses in origami and textile manipulation, techniques very present in the collection that we will see on the catwalk.

The designs mix traditional Japanese culture and the current city in harmony. The kimono is reinterpreted, together with the scales of the dragon with origami and through the use of the zero waste technique.

David de Calle, 21-year-old designer from Madrid, is the winner in the National category with the collection Pielofobia.

Presenting his collection shortly after graduating from the IADE MADRID school with the best academic record of his promotion. After several collaborations and parades, David has even embarked on his own personal project: decalle studio.

His source of inspiration for this collection is skin, to promote equality and respect through equality in all countries of the world.

Carla García Parrondo, Majorcan designer and illustrator, is the new winner in the National Curvy category with her collection Komorebi.

After finishing her studies at the Escola d’Art Superior i Disseny de les Illes Balears, she also developed her personal project MODDART, where she merges her two great interests: fashion and art.

On the catwalk she will show us her interpretation of the effect of the rays of light crossing the leaves of the trees, bringing us closer to Japanese culture, a millenary culture that respects and admires every little detail of nature.
