design festival on March 24
Mallorca Design Day, the emerging design festival that rewards new promises in interior design and fashion , will innovate in this fourth edition by uploading a capsule product collection for the first time to a catwalk in Spain, designed by the architect Juan David Martínez Jofre, founder from Minimal Studio and winner of multiple international awards that have positioned him as a benchmark in the world of design and architecture, such as the Luxury Lifestyle Awards New York.

The final gala will be hosted by the renowned model and television presenter Maria José Suárez, who has a long career in the world of fashion and currently runs her own brand of clothing and accessories, having become an entrepreneur in the textile world.

The festival will open next Wednesday March 22 at the World Light showroom with a Design Talk on sustainability and design by Sandro Tothill, co-founder of Luzifer Lamps; and Santiago Alorda, Team Leader North East of Vitra; moderated by Juan Mellen, president of the Design Institute of Spain.
Interior design will be the protagonist of March 23 with two very special actions. The first, in Cosentino City, will revolve around the theme of “experiential architecture”. The Design Talk will be orchestrated by the prestigious architect Héctor Ruiz, CEO of Ruiz Velázquez architecture and design; and Emerio Arena, director of Room Magazine.
That same afternoon, the renownedELLE Decor editor, Marta Riopérez, and the famous architect and designer Ramón Esteve will talk about the “new trends in interior design” at the Design Talk that will take place in Aquaquae, Palma.
Interior design, fashion and food design will be the main stars of the final gala of Mallorca Design Day on the night of March 24. The food design exhibition , in which seven chefs will fuse culinary skills and design, will open the day on Friday. Next, the designs of the winner in the national fashion category, Laia Muntal with the “MUBA” collection, will be uploaded to the catwalk; the national finalist, Jone González, with the “Bloom” collection; and the Balearic winner, Paula Escario, with the “Coraza nº9” collection.
The winner of Art Jove 2022, Lis Domínguez, will parade as a guest with a capsule collection created exclusively for the festival, which will culminate with the awards ceremony for the different categories: fashion, interior design and food design .
