Mallorca Design Day aims to position Mallorca as a biennial point of reference for design, both nationally and internationally, making the event a meeting point for emerging designers and always backed by major brands and entrepreneurs in the sector. Behind this initiative we have the support of: ACME (Association of Fashion Creators of Spain), the Conselleria of Education Govern de les Illes Balears, Superior Dárt School y Disseny de les Illes Balears, IDI (Institute of Innovation and Industry), Ayuntamiento de Palma, Conselleria de Turismo and DIOS (Design Institute of Spain).

In each edition, Mallorca Design Day defines a theme and acquires an environmental commitment, and for this reason we are aligned with the 2030 agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. We try to raise awareness among all those who are starting out in the world of design to apply important points such as:

1. Saving energy and resources.
2. Use products with “Green Seal” or Environmental Certifications.
3. Use renewable materials.
4. Incorporate recycling into the design.

Likewise, we continue to be the only National Design Festival that rewards emerging design, giving maximum visibility to these new design talents in different disciplines.
